Dr. Saeed zaman is serving as a Lecturer in the University of Engineering & Technology Peshawar Jalozai campus, He successfully completed his Ph.D. degree (December, 2016), from the School of Technology, Asia Institute of Technology (AIT) Bangkok,Thailand. He completed his Master degree (MS) in Structure Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology Taxila, Pakistan in 2007, and Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology Peshawar, Pakistan in 2004. in MS his research was about the shear capacity of pile caps and published a research paper "Evaluation of the shear strength of four pile cap using strut and tie model (STM), in Journal of the Chinese Institute of Engineers in 2009. The main focus of his doctorate research was to provide seismic provision in seismic code of Pakistan for which he conduct probabilistic seismic hazard assessment (PSHA) of Pakistan and geographic seismic hazard deaggregation for major cities of Pakistan. To get a more accurate and complete picture of seismic hazard throughout Pakistan, the resulting PSHA maps were combined with the first-order site-condition map of Pakistan, thereby developing the first-order site-condition map of Pakistan. From which he published research and conference papers in reputable journal and conference which are: "Topographically-Derived Near-Surface Shear Wave Velocity Map for Pakistan, in Journal of Earthquake and Tsunami in 2016.whereas Conference paper "Probabilistic seismic hazard assessment for Pakistan. Accepted for publication in the 15th World Conference on Earthquake Engineering Lisbon, Portugal in 2012.Apart from that he also worked in PSHA project of Thailand and co-author in a research published in Bulletin of Earthquake Engineering as well as he is also one of the team member in revision of building code of Pakistan (BCP 2007).
